Cheryl Delaney, Vitreous Designs: Glass & Wire Artisan, is a Lampwork glass artist using live flame to melt different colours of glass and wire to create jewellery and other decorative/useful pieces.  Wire such as sterling silver, silver and/or copper is used to enhance the glass piece or used as a medium for making the jewellery pieces.  Her wire designs usually contain some chainmaille designs especially the Byzantine weave for a very classic look.

Cheryl has studies with Susan Hood, (Susan Hood Designs) who resides in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and is President of the LAMPS Association;  Grace Edwards of the Glass Shoppe Studio in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and the Canada Bead Oasis Show in Toronto, Ontario, as well as taken courses at Cranberry Stained Glass, Bayer’s Lake, Halifax, Nova Scotia.  She continues to develop her craft through several online glass & wire venues and other venues when interest strikes.

She is a member of the LAMPS  (Lampworkers of the Atlantic and Maritime Provinces Society) which she holds the post of Secretary, the Metal Arts Guild of Nova Scotia, and an Associate member of the Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council.  Cheryl’s studio is based out of her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
